I'm building shelf to solve my own problem. With every new project, I have to either spin off a database and write the API wrapper around it OR use a service like firebase.

I have never been a fan of firebase because of their developer experience, something about it shouts big co, not for solo/small teams.

I think we deserve a better DX, this is my humble attempt at better.
